Ecopack renews its commitment with the 4th Communication on Progress (COP) of the United Nations Global Compact

Ecopack is proud to announce the submission of its fourth Communication on Progress (COP) within the framework of the United Nations Global Compact.
This important milestone confirms our tangible commitment to comprehensive sustainability, reinforcing a path that places corporate social responsibility and environmental respect at the heart of our vision.
The Communication on Progress (COP), serves as tangible proof of our daily commitment to integrating the 10 Principles of the Global Compact into our business activities, thereby contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.
What is the United Nations Global Compact?
Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest strategic corporate citizenship initiative. For over 20 years, it has aimed to promote a sustainable economy that respects human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption.
The initiative was conceived by then-UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who called on companies to contribute to a fairer and more inclusive globalization.
The Global Compact is based on ten principles derived from major international documents, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention against Corruption. These principles cover four key areas:
- Human Rights: Promote and respect human rights, ensuring that the company is not complicit in abuses.
- Labor: Support freedom of association, eliminate forced and child labor, and combat all forms of discrimination.
- Environment: Adopt a precautionary approach to environmental challenges, promote environmental responsibility, and encourage eco-friendly technologies.
- Anti-Corruption: Fight corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
What is communicated in the Communication on Progress (COP)?
Through this annual document, companies participating in the Global Compact report on the progress they have made in implementing the ten fundamental principles. The COP is an essential tool for ensuring transparency and dialogue with stakeholders, as well as for sharing best practices on a global scale.
For Ecopack, the COP represents a commitment to transparency and accountability, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate concretely our efforts in sustainability and corporate citizenship. Being part of this initiative means joining an international network of over 20,000 companies from 167 countries, all dedicated to promoting collaboration and sustainable innovation.
