What is the British Frozen Food Federation?

The British Frozen Food Federation is one of the most influential trade associations in the United Kingdom, representing the entire frozen food industry. With over 320 members across the complete supply chain, including retailers, manufacturers, logistics providers, importers/exporters, and service companies, it plays a crucial role in promoting, supporting, and giving a unified voice to the frozen food sector.

Our paper baking moulds continue to meet the highest standards demanded by food manufacturers and distributors, guaranteeing performance and reliability at every stage of the production and distribution process.

Performance and versatility

As a member of the British Frozen Food Federation, we proudly support the frozen food industry while continuing to ensure that our products meet the sector’s high standards.

Our extensive range of paper baking moulds is designed for versatility and reliability. They are:

• Oven-safe up to 220 °C (428 °F)

• Freezer-safe down to -18 °C (-0.4 °F)

• Compatible with automatic production lines, suitable for denesters

• Equally suitable for homemade recipes, ensuring professional results at every level

Since 2021, our paper baking moulds have been produced with FSC-certified paper, confirming our dedication to protecting forests and promoting responsible sourcing.

But our commitment to sustainability goes even further. Many of our ranges also carry additional environmental certifications that guarantee their performance and end-of-life management.

Our Panettone Alto and Basso, Tart, and Colomba lines are certified OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL, while our Paper Baking Cups, Tulip, and Lotus moulds hold the OK COMPOST HOME certification. In addition, the Plumpy and Pie ranges have obtained CEPI recyclability certification.

These certifications highlight two complementary approaches to sustainability:

• Compostable: products can be disposed of with organic waste, breaking down into compost and returning nutrients to the soil.

• Recyclable: products can be recovered and reintroduced into the production cycle.

Every country has its own waste management rules, and not all markets follow the same path: some prioritise compostable solutions, while others focus on recyclability. That is why the Ecopack range is designed to adapt, offering customers flexible options between compostability, recycling, and tailor-made solutions.
